While most people are familiar with Excel, many are unfamiliar with all of the exciting capabilities that this program offers. From advanced functions to pivot tables, Excel functionality goes far beyond simple formulas.
R
R is a popular programming language utilized for data analysis across a range of fields, but it’s particularly popular for statisticians and data miners.
Dedoose
Dedoose is a program used for mixed-method evaluations, letting you organize and analyze a variety of data such as text, photos, audio, videos, and spreadsheets.
Tableau
Tableau is a popular data visualization software that allows you to connect directly to your own data, or almost any database, letting you transform data into stunning graphics.
Data collection
Surveys, interviews, and focus groups are all vital methods of collecting both quantitative and qualitative data. These primary research methods all have methodologies and best practices to ensure that the data gathered is accurate and useful.
Statistical Analysis
Statistics concerns itself with collecting, organizing, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data. It’s used to analyze a wealth of phenomena and can be a powerful tool in identifying problems and evaluating whether solutions or policies are effective.
